Victor Acevedo was a juror for the Gallery Works section of The New York Digital Salon 2000. At present he has shown his work in over 77 exhibitions worldwide including PodGallery at Spectra Digital NYC 1999 and 2000, SIGGRAPH 98, NY Digital Salon 1996 & 1994, ISEA 1993, and Prix Ars Electronica 1991. In 1998 he was invited to show his work in the exhibition at the M.C. Escher Centennial Congress in Rome, Italy. In 1999 his piece called The Lacemaker was featured in the ACM/SIGGRAPH documentary "The Story of Computer Graphics". From 1990 thru 1997 as a founding member of the Digilantes in conjunction with EZTV CyberSpace Gallery he helped organize seven noteworthy ^ţunderground^´ digital art shows including Silent Partners 1992, Digital Salon Des Independents 1993, Digital Site 1995 and L.A. Digilantes 1997. In acknowledgement of this record, Acevedo's work was included in the exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of EZTV/CyberSpace Gallery which was held at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, September 1999. Acevedo currently resides in New York City where he lectures on digital fine art at the School of Visual Arts. |
