Digital Selections is an exhibition of work by artists who create in the digital realm. Software and technology have opened up new creative opportunities for artists. Images that could not possibly be created by hand are now possible, as are new explorations into animation, sound and interactive art. While painting, drawing and sculpture will remain at the core of traditional fine art, new tools are revolutionizing how artists think and work. Digital Selections, a digital art exhibition featuring artworks by Sherban Epure, Deb Hall, Kenneth A. Huff, John Klima, Bernhard Leitner, Dennis Miller, Hidekazu Minami, Manfred Mohr and Barbara Nessim, opens on Tuesday April 20 at the Schick Art Gallery at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. The opening reception is April 20 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. The exhibition runs through May 21, 2004 and will re-open for the summer session from June 2nd through June 12th. Bruce Wands will give a digital art lecture on Wednesday, April 21st at 6 pm in the Emerson Auditorium, Palamountan Hall on the Skidmore College campus.
