Please refer to the specific section below regarding the entry requirements. If mailing entry, do not send original artwork. If you wish to have your submission material returned, you must include a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage. There is no entry fee.

ALL ENTRANTS
Each artist may submit up to four works for consideration. Include the following information with each submission when sending the application via postal mail: name, address, country, phone number, fax number, email address, current résumé and artist's statement (500 - 1,000 words, attach both digital file and paper copy). Specify the category you are entering and the medium of the work. Applications must be written in ENGLISH and submitted both on paper and in digital form (Microsoft Word file on a CD). Entries missing any of the above information will not be considered.
The New York Digital Salon reserves the right to use any accepted entry materials for publicity and promotional purposes. Accepted work will be published in the exhibition catalog and on the New York Digital Salon website, in addition to being exhibited in any or all official New York Digital Salon venues.
Do not mail a copy of your entry if you submitted online!
GALLERY EXHIBITION ENTRANTS
Work in this category includes prints, sculptures, interactive installations, performances, interactive CD-ROMs, or games. Specify the category for each gallery submission. Please submit one image for print works and 2-4 images per sculpture, interactive installation, performance, and game. If mailing you application, images must be submitted on a CD (TIFF file at 300 dpi). Include an image identification list on the CD and in hardcopy. This list includes artist name, country, title of the work, year of completion, medium, dimensions, and equipment and space requirements for each image. Submissions without this information will be rejected. When submitting a videotape or a CD-ROM, it must be VHS, NTSC or PAL format only, labeled with the above information. The jury will view up to three minutes of your tape. Cue your tape to the segment you wish the jury to review.
INTERNET ARTWORKS
Submit a URL where the work may be viewed, and/or files clearly labeled on a CD. Entries must include 2-4 TIFF images at 300 dpi of each work. If mailing your application include an image identification list including: artist name, country, title of artwork and year of completion for each entry. Submissions without this information will be rejected.
ANIMATION AND DIGITAL VIDEO ENTRANTS
For this category, you must submit materials in the mail. You cannot apply online. Work may be submitted on CD, DVD, VHS, NTSC or PAL format only, clearly labeled with artist name, country, title of work, year of completion, credits, and length of the work. Entries must include 2-4 production stills on a CD (TIFF files at 300 dpi) for your work to be considered. Include an image identification list of the stills on the CD and in hardcopy. End credits exceeding 15 seconds may be edited by the NYDS. Please provide copyright permissions if using any materials (scores, etc.) produced by another artist. The jury will view up to three minutes of your tape. Please cue your tape to the segment you wish the jury to review.
DIGITAL AUDIO AND MUSIC ENTRANTS
For this category, you must submit materials in the mail. You cannot apply online. This category includes music, spoken word, narrative, drama and any other computer produced audio work. Please submit an audio CD and an identification list on CD and in hardcopy. This list includes artist name, country, title of work, year of completion, duration, and credits for each entry. Submissions without this information will be rejected.
ESSAYS ON DIGITAL CULTURE ENTRANTS
Essays on digital culture, art, and technology should be 1,500 to 5,000 words in length and not previously published. Illustrations may be included. All accepted essays will be published in the exhibition catalog. If submitting your work via postal mail, essays must be submitted both on paper and in digital form. Send a CD with the file in Microsoft Word or email the digital version to . Essays will not be considered unless both formats are received. Any illustrations that accompany the essay must include an image identification list with the following information: captions, name of the artist, title of work, date of completion, medium and dimensions. Illustrations must be submitted on a CD (TIFF images at 300 dpi) for your essay to be considered. Authors are responsible for getting written permission for all illustrations that are not their own work or in the public domain.
